Asian Celebrities

Jamie Chung Steams up Maxim

Nof  05, 2011
Jamie Chung sure has come a long way from junk like The Real World. The woman is now a bona fide movie star.Who would have thunk any one of those MTV reality TV shows would ever get this far? I don’t think people even know that Jamie Chung used to be on the Real World. I certainly didn’t. She’s really hot, too, which makes her sort of perfect for a reality TV show where people make out. I guess that’s why she was cast. Now she’s in Maxim Magazine looking even hotter than ever. Holy crap, I gotta go see “Dragonball”…

Jamie Chung Bikini Modeling Pictures

Nof  05, 2011
Jamie Chung is set to blow up when the movie “Dragonball” opens in theaters, but until then here are some bikini pictures of her from her modeling days, before the whole acting thing took off. Don’t worry if you don’t know who Jamie Chung is, just take the fact that she’s a gorgeous Asian chick who looks like a million bucks in a bikini and go with it. What are you, dumb? I said just go with it! Ahem. So, here are some bikini pictures of Jamie Chung. Please to enjoy.

Zhang Ziyi Bikini Pictures

Nof  05, 2011
While you were shivering in the cold over the long Holiday weekend, Zhang Ziyi and her billionaire fiance were at a hot beach somewhere in their swimsuits. Oh, to be rich and famous! Or just to be rich would be nice. Anyways, someone was there with a camera and snapped some great pics of Zhang Ziyi on teh beach in a two-piece bikini. There are actually more racy pics in this collection, but these are pretty much the only two I could post without, you know, showing actual nudity. They’re still pretty hot, though. Enjoy.

Devon Aoki Promos from 2 Fast 2 Furious

Nof  05, 2011
Let’s face it, if you didn’t say out loud (or whispered), “Holy shit, who is that hot girl in the cowboy chaps?” when Devon Aoki first showed up onscreen in the movie “2 Fast 2 Furious”, then you just don’t like girls. “2 Fast 2 Furious”, the sequel to “The Fast and the Furious” was where we all fell in lust with Japanese model/actress Devon Aoki, who has since gone on to do a variety of movies, including “Sin City” and “D.O.A.” The only bad thing about Devon’s role in “2 Fast 2 Furious”? They partnered her up with that ridiculously bad actor and rapper Ludicrus or however the hell you spell his misspelled name. Anyways, here are some promos of Devon Aoki from “2 Fast 2 Furious”. Smoking.

Korean Model Hwang Mi Hee

Nof  05, 2011
Don’t know who Hwang Mi Hee is? Me, neither. Well, until now, that is. Now we know who Hwang Mi Hee is. She’s a Korean model and, um, well, that’s pretty much it. But take a look at these pictures of some of her modeling gigs. Okay, so maybe she could take off a little bit more clothes, or be a little bit sexier, but that should be coming down the line as she gets more into this modeling biz. Take a look at the Victoria’s Secret girls. That’s what modeling is about, baby! Anyways, these pics of Hwang Mi Hee aren’t the best there is, but you know, they could be worst. Okay, they could be much better, but we’ll take what we can get at the moment.

Introducing Crystal Liu

Nof  05, 2011
If the name Crystal Liu doesn’t ring a bell, you might have seen her in the martial arts movie “The Forbidden Kingdom” with Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Yep, that’s her, the very cute Chinese actress who isn’t Bingbing Li. I know it’s kind of hard to concentrate on another woman with Bingbing Li in the same movie, but Crystal Liu is not exactly hard on the eyes. The 21 year old Chinese actress hails from the Wuhan Hubei province of China, and already has a pretty extensive filmography in Asia. She’s work tons over the very short years she’s been in the business, and some believe she’s prime to break through Hollywood. Maybe, maybe not. We think she’s very cute, nonetheless.

Lucy Liu Joins Dirty Sexy Money Show

Nof  05, 2011
Lucy Liu is probably the most famous Asian actress in Hollywood right now, and Hollywood still manages to squander her talents. That just goes to show you how crappy Hollywood is right now, but let’s not get into that, it just makes me mad thinking about it. Anyways, Lucy Liu will be joining the second season of ABC’s risque primetime show Dirty Sexy Money in its second season. I believe she’s joining the show, because I don’t recall her having been on the show in the first season, although, you know, I could be wrong. Anyways, here are some promos she did for the show. Hot, hot, HOT.

South Korea’s Shim Mina

Nof  05, 2011
Shim Mina’s became famous when someone with a camera realized she was a hot girl and started snapping pictures of her during the World Cup. She’s managed to parlay that brief bit of celebrity into a multi-album record deal, modeling gigs, and shot her way into our hearts and minds. Well, okay, maybe not our hearts and minds, but you know, other places on our body. Ahem. Anyways, I’ve never heard Shim Mina sing, but man, does she look good or does she look good? Yeah, I’m going to have to go with Shim Mina looking good. Sure, she plays up the sexy image to further her singing career, but whose complaining? Maybe some girls, but definitely not the boys out there!

Jamie Chung in Samurai Girl Promos

Nof  05, 2011
If you still don’t know the name Jamie Chung by now, you probably will very soon. Besides co-starring in what might be a surprise hit in the live-action movie version of the popular “Dragonball” anime, which is set to be released later next year, she’s also the star of ABC Family’s original mini-series “Samurai Girl”, in which she plays, well, a samurai girl. The movie has Jamie Chung fighting the Yakuza, the Japanese underworld, using her forefather’s Samurai skills. Basically, a hot girl kicks ass with a big ass sword. Tell me that doesn’t sound like a good day at the movies! Some promos of Chung from the movie below.

J-Pop Hottie Maki Goto

Nof  05, 2011
So my Japanese pop knowledge is not exactly as extensive as I would like it to be. Oh who am I kidding. I know almost nothing about Japanese pop, or as it’s more commonly known, J-pop, except for Namie Amuro, basically the only Japanese singer I have listened to and liked. So I don’t know all that much about Maki Goto, although I had previously made a post on her after spotting her photo book, a common thing in Japan, but practically non-existent here in the Western world. Anyways, Maki goto is quite the dish, and I couldn’t resist making another post for her. The girl is really hot, what can I say.

Grace Park in The Cleaner Promos

Nof  05, 2011
Well Grace Park sure isn’t waiting by her phone for someone to call with a job, now that her show Battlestar Galactica is in its final season, and there won’t be any more, for a while, if ever. (Chances are they’ll make a movie or two, but who knows in today’s crappy TV climate.) But Grace Park ain’t waiting around; our Canadian-Korean babe has already landed a regular job on a new TV show called The Cleaner with Benjamin Bratt. It looks like one of those life-affirming dramas, but I could be wrong. Catch it on A&E if you can. Here are promos of Grace Park from her new show.

South Korea’s Suh In-young in Cosmo

Nof  05, 2011
From what I can tell after perusing the Internet, South Korea’s Suh In-young is a singer and actress, most famous for being a member of the all-girl group “Jewelry”. (Hey, I guess that’s a better name than, say, “Socks” or something, am I right or am I right?) Anyways, I don’t speak Korean, so I don’t know if their songs are any good, but you can check out a video of one of their live performances (for the song “Everybody Shhh!”) below and judge for yourself. Meanwhile, ogle at a 24-year old Suh In-young in a bikini spread for the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Korea and enjoy your day. I know I am.

Taiwanese Supermodel Lin Chi-ling in Cannes

Nof  05, 2011
According to Wikipedia, Taiwanese star Lin Chi-ling is one of the highest paid supermodel in the country, making something like a cool mil one year. She’s since moved on to the movies, and will be making her big screen debut in John Woo’s martial arts epic “Red Cliff”. Not a bad way to make your breakthrough debut, I have to say. Of course, it’s also pretty dangerous to make your debut in such a big movie, because if you kinda suck, people will know and you probably won’t work again. See Cindy Crawford for an example. Usually, if you want to do movies, you should probably do small ones first, so if it fails, no one will know, or care too much, and you can slowly improve as an actor. But hey, that’s just me. Lin Chi-ling is way too hot to wait that long, and why should she? Here she is making her press debut recently in Cannes.

Grace Park in Complex Magazine

Nof  05, 2011
Battlestar Galactica is winding down and you know what that means, lovers of Asian hotness on TV — that’s right, no more weekly doses of Boomer, aka Grace Park, doing her Cylon thing on the tube. Which is a shame, but hopefully she’ll find another show very quickly, because come on, how many hot South Korean girls do we have on TV on a regular basis? Answer: ONE. That’s Grace Park. But hey, before she goes, Grace Park was nice enough to give us this great pictorial in Complex Magazine. Smoking hot, anyone? Who knew Cylons were so tempting?

Maggie Q. is Still Red Hot

Nof  05, 2011
Who can deny that Chinese/Vietnamese/Hawaiian actress Maggie Q. cuts a fine figure? Well, anyone can deny it, but you’d be a effin’ idiot to do so. Because let’s face it, Hollywood hasn’t seen an Asian woman as hot as Maggie Q. in a long, long while. Joan Chen cut the same kind of figure when she burst onto the scene a decade or two (or three) back, but it’s Maggie Q.’s world, and everyone’s just trying to get a nut. Here’s more of Maggie Q. in a red dress photoshoot. My God is that a nice figure or is that a nice figure? Yup, that’s a nice figure.

Thai Model and Actress Sonia Couling

Nof  05, 2011
I have to admit that Sonia Couling is one of the hottest Thai models/actresses I’ve seen yet. She’s got a really nice looking body, and that face could probably start wars. Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about her: “Sonia Couling is well known in Thailand as a fashion model and Cover girl. She has acted in many Thai TV shows, been a VJ for MTV Singapore, and starred in one film, Kon Puan Sai Fah (Destiny Upside Down). She is Eurasian or Luk kreung, with an English father and a Thai mother.” Ah, so that explains her “exotic” looks. She’s half English. Modeling bikini pictures of Sonia after the jump.

Zhang Ziyi is Back!

Nof  05, 2011
I know, it seems like it’s been a while since I posted any new Zhang Ziyi pictures, but in my defense she hasn’t exactly been out there all that much lately. As far as I can tell, Zhang Ziyi has been too busy jetting around the world with her boyfriend, some European dude, instead of making movies. Or at least, that’s what it seems like. In any case, she’s finally back on our radar, and yes, Zhang Ziyi is still as hot and smoking as we remembered her. I guess it wasn’t that long ago, but damn, it sure seemed like it had been a while since Ziyi gave us something to get excited about, and these pictures definitely does that.

Qi Shu at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards

Nof  05, 2011
Love Qi Shu. I’ve always loved Qi Shu. Yes, even before the whole “used to be a softcore actress” stuff surfaced. Mind you, not that that dampened my enthusiasm for the gal. I mean, just look at her. One of the loveliest Chinese actresses around, and here she is looking all glam up at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards, which is like the Hong Kong version of the Oscars except, er, in Hong Kong. Well, that’s sorta self-explanatory, isn’t it? Gorgeous and then some, and “some” is pretty damn gorgeous.

More Bingbing Li in The Forbidden Kingdom Promos

Nof  05, 2011
Let’s face it, while people are going to “The Forbidden Kingdom” for the kung fu fights and the first-ever collaboration between Jet Li and Jackie Chan onscreen, I’m going for Bingbing Li. Okay, so maybe that’s a little superficial, but hey, what do you want from me, I’m a sucker for a hot woman with crazy white hair who can kick my ass any day of the week. Which, incidentally, Bingbing Li easily fulfills in her role as the dangerous Ni Chang in “The Forbidden Kingdom”. Here’s more promos of Bingbing Li from the movie.

Maggie Q. in Seoul to Promote Three Kingdoms

Nof  05, 2011
Maggie Q. and the cast of her new movie, “Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon” (whew! could they have made that thing any longer? Why don’t just call it “Three Kingdoms” or “Resurrection of the Dragon?” anyhoo) were recently in Seoul to promote the movie. In attendance were, of course, Maggie Q., co-star Andy Lau, and Sammo Hung. The film has Maggie and Andy playing rival warlords out to chop each other’s heads. Good times, good times…
